Health At Every Size®
The Health At Every Size (HAES®) approach promotes balanced eating, life-enhancing physical activity, and respect for the diversity of body shapes and sizes.

Intuitive Eating
Intuitive Eating is a self-care framework of eating that is built upon food neutrality, body connection, and the inherent desire to feel good. An Intuitive Eating based approach is associated with improved dietary intake, blood pressure, psychological health, and body satisfaction.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented approach where people learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a psycho-social intervention that helps individuals question or challenge negative or unhelpful thought patterns. In Flourish, we use CBT to help our members become more aware of the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is a guiding style of communication that sits between following (good listening) and directing (through balancing questions and sharing information). It is based on a respectful and curious way of coaching that facilitates a natural process of change and honors individual's autonomy.

You can "know" what you "need" to do, but without language, community, accountability and showing up for yourself, it is difficult to actually do it. I have enjoyed Flourish because it has allowed me to make and keep a promise to myself- to put myself and my body first.
